Tested colors I learned that you are able to create so many different colors with only the primary colors. Also you can add a bit of white and not add so much to get the right color. Brown swatches

Hue value scale Brown swatches Painting in process Final Painting I painted a picture we took in key west and it is important to me because we go there a lot and there is a lot of history put in to a small place. One of the most challenging parts o painting this picture was that I had to make the right color for the sky and put the right amount of color into blending it. THe most successful part of the painting was that I was able to put the right amount of texture into the water to make it look like it was moving. I first painted the background red to give the painting a more vibrant feel to it. The i painted the sky after that I painted the water which took about 2 days to get the right texture than I painted the boat and it took sometime to get the shading right
For my theme of my drawings I chose items from my kitchen CHARCOAL One of the pros of the charcoal drawing was the fact that I am able to fix a mistake by just rubbing out all the charcoal that I put on the paper. One of the cons was that it out really messy and it was hard to make all the details come out right. PENCIL One of the Cons of pensil was that it was hard to erase a mistake and also it took forever to get the right shade One of the pros was that it was easy to get all the details you needed. Also it did not smudge when you touched it like the charcoal PEN One of the cons for pen was that some of the methods such as stippling took forever to do and sometimes at the end it did not come out how you wanted to. One of the pros was that if you needed more shading or to make something dark you just add more lines or the method you were using before. Definitions -VALUE-The amount of lightness or darkness you add into a picture -COMPOSITION-is the ay you arrange a object in a drawing Helpful Warmup THe most helpful warmup was the sphere. We were to shade the sphere to show which side the light came from. This was the most trickiest warmup because it took some time to get the shading right.
Jonathan Higbee is one of the artist that inspired me . He takes his camera around New York and take photographs at the most creative moments. He does not have to use paints and a brush to create a beautiful work of art. He has done this for over a decade and was born in Missouri. His work was so successful that it came to be on World Street Photography 4. The photographs draw me in because they are so simple and in life we do not take the time to look around us and see what is going on, but with his art work we are able to see that life may not be as boring and there are ways that we can change what we see into works of art. He shows a lot of pictures of normal everyday sights which makes me want to see more and also understand the story behind the picture. https://www.instagram.com/aliveisthecity/
